O2 Sensor cleaning??? 91 240DL 200

I removed my O2 sensor from the Kat as I am replacing the exhaust system from the manifold all the way back.

I am wondering after pulling the O2 sensor if it can be cleaned with a spray cleaner as for the AMM? Anyone tried to clean the black soot off the end of a O2 sensor??
