Do dash lights go through bulb failure relay 92 940T 900

Hi all. The bulb failure relay failed on my '92 940T and killed my brake lights. I replaced the relay but the warning light on my dash didn't go out. All external lights are now working OK but I think one of my dash lights might be out. Does anybody know if a burnt out dash lamp will activate the dash annunciator? While the new relay I got is the right part number listed by all the Volvo sites, it is 3/4" or so shorter than the original one, and the pin numbers seem to be different. That's why my first thought was that it was the wrong part, or maybe the particular production run of my car used a different relay. Any ideas? Thanks.
