Flucuating/Sporadic Speedometer-bad grnd? 900 1991

1991 945SE-Been reading lots of new & old posts regarding speedometer related issues. Mine has finally bit the dust after several months of erratic movement. Odometer works fine but speedo jumps all over the place or doesn't move at all.
Replaced the wiring to the sensor mounted on the rear diff. Removed the sensor from the rear, cleaned it up nice.....nada!
I also noticed I have a sporadic problem with my right side turn signal. All bulbs work but sometimes when signalling right the frt and rear right signals flash very quickly....bad ground? If so, where do I start to look and could this same bad ground be the problem I'm having with my speedo-wishful thinking on my part I'm sure!
