Alternator adjustment arm '86 200 1986

Hello,

I have a rubber bushing that is bolted to my block and a adjustment arm that slides over it. The arm attaches to the front of the alternator, is this correct?

All of the VADIS drawings show a adjustment arm with a much shorter tube, a bushing entering the arm from the front, and a spacer which sits next to the block. The adjustment arm attaches to the back of the alternator mounting tab.

Is this a newer factory retrofit?

Thanks!
