Yet another person with AMM questions - Help 200 1987

Long story short. Two weeks ago the AMM in my 1987 240 went out completely (type #007) Unplugged it and limped it home. Plugged it back in and it still would not start. Put in my spare #007 from a 740 and it runs, but runs like crap when cold. Adjusted the AMM screw and it runs smooth after it warms up. Hunts for idle when starting and stalls and still runs like crap at cold start. Cleaned the throttle body, cleaned the air idle motor fixed a questionable vacuum hose. No change, although it idled nice and high when I accidently started it up with the idle motor unplugged. Plugged it in. Starts up nice for about 5 seconds and then stalls. Restart it and it does the same. Keep foot on the pedal for about 30seconds and it idles down and runs OK. Checked voltage at the pink wire. Reads 1.18V to 1.19V and sweeps to 1.25 when revved up. Turning the screw only makes minor changes. O2 sensor reads 0.36V. Called the shop and they were going to try another swapped in another #007 AMM but when they looked they did not have one. The car ran decent before the old AMM died. Should I give up buy another AMM? or is there something I missed........ Please Help.Ben
