FYI
From a friend & fellow Volvo enthusiast, Rob Snowden:
"Just outside Richmond, on Route 33 going north west, near Montpelier, there's a rusting away 544 sitting with a bunch of other cars, non-Volvos.
The closest "town" is Duggins Store which is a few miles west of Montpilier, which is about 20 minutes outside Richmond. I don't know who the owner is. Going west on Rt. 33, it's on the left side of the road. There's a large field, about 2 acres or so, with about 20 cars on it. Next to the field, there's a house with a driveway - on one side is the field, the other is the house. It just looks like some guy started getting cars towed there and never did anything with them. I've seen that 544 for years and it always looks the same - nothing has been taken off since I've seen it. I'll contact Boyd about the 544 owner. Feel free to put it on the Brickboard with the info I just gave you about the location."
I found it and can barely see the 544 on Google Maps. The coordinates are 37.838571,-77.737205, or 37• 50' 18.8" N by 77• 44' 13.9" W. I see that it is directly past J.B. Dunn Motor Co, which is also a salvage yard. Address for JB is 18365 Mountain Road, Montpelier, VA 23192. Phone 804-883-7283. I bet the owners of JB live in that house next door where the junk cars are. I also see a red Volvo 240 out front closer to the street.
