I think the ole girl needs one (92 245 w 200K+). I can move the automatic up about 1-2" with a pry bar. The shifter lever (from above) is awfully close to the front u-joint ..not touching, but close. When the tranny is lifted it gives better clearance.

Other symptoms.
> At higher speeds .. & under load there is vibration.
> When slowing down ..there is a droning vibration like running over warning stips on the edge of the road.

Am I on track? Thanks.

Note. The two back u-joints are great ..no binding.
