Hi,
My wife and I are currently in the 7th week, of a 3 month visit to your fine country.
Having toured the east coast and Canada on the first half of our visit, which we thoroughly enjoyed. We are currently in San Diego. San Diego is the 1st stop of a 34 day car hire. It will take us inland on a loop which returns to the coast at San Francisco. Its then down the coast to LA before our return to Australia.
While over here I would like to pick up some parts for our 940s.
All help in locating 'wrecking yards',on or close to our route, which have Volvo 940s, will be appreciated.
Our itinerary after we leave San Diego tomorrow is....Phoenix, Flagstaff, Grand Canyon (west ridge), Moab, Hurricane, Las Vegas, Three Rivers/Kings Canyon, Mammoth Lakes, Lake Tahoe, Santa Cruz, San Francisco, Morro Bay, Santa Barbara, LA.
Our trip has exceeded expectations and we've been lucky enough to keep ahead of the weather. We departed NY,after 9 days, and headed towards Niagara as Irene approached NY.
One of the many highlights of our trip has been the consistent generous, helpful spirit of American people. On many occasions help has been volunteered without asking. The response of 'you're welcome' to our expression of thanks has warmed our hearts.
During our 56 days we have witnessed many acts of kindness between your fellow citizens, particularly noticeable on public transport. Race and people of many skin colour acting as one.
We have had the pleasure to interact with many African Americans, generally on public transport. Our lasting impression will be of what a dignified, intelligent, considerate, friendly people they are.
My wife and I are impressed.
Thanks in advance.
