Sway bar end links breaking???? 900 1994

While I was under the car I noticed my sway bar end link is broken on the passenger side, does anyone else go through these things quickly? Seems like I'm always replacing them because the shaft breaks. Had the same thing on my 92 240 wagon. Weird, had an 83 and 82 volvo, those links never broke. Don't know what's going on????.
