I have an '89 244 dl, and I want to do an automatic transmission flush. As far as I know... this is the first time a flush has been done. My odo reads 87k... which means I know it hasn't done 87k miles. I am cautious as My friend Patrick has said that once the ATF begins to smell like burnt sugar, my only thing I can do is ride it until the tranny dies. He smelled it, and he said it isn't bad. I am just curious before I begin to delve into it, at least as to how much fluid the tranny holds.
