I took my '87 from NJ to Vermont for a one day trip and clocked about 600 miles. The car ran flawlessly for the trip until the ride home. After being on the NY Thruway for two and a half hours at speeds of 75 plus, I pulled in for some coffee and the idle speed wouldn't go to its normal 800 rpm in neutral. Its running at 1200. I did a quick check for vacuum leaks, but didn't find any. The IAC motor is about a year old and brand new. When I changed the IAC, I cleaned the throttle body and made sure the idle switch was okay. Any ideas? Pulling the plug on the AMM brings the idle down and the car runs terribly. Plugging it back in, the car idles at 1200 but nice and smooth. Any ideas?
