About a year ago my '93 240 stopped running. The nocharge light went on and shortly later the battery went dead (conveniently in a police station parking lot). A nice officer took me to a parts store where I bought a new battery. The car ran for about a year with no signs of problems. Then, it wouldn't start. It turned over fine but was very hard to start. Eventually it would start though sometimes I would run the battery down and need to jump it. AFter starting if if turned off it was not difficult to start a second time. So, eventually(though it took me awhile) I thought "is the battery OK". Took it to the autoparts store and it tested fine. The charged it and I brought it back. However, the car just clicks when I turn the key with this tested-good, fully charged, battery installed. However, if I jump the car it turns over and in fact starts. Any thoughts? It is a 590 amp battery which is certainly rated correctly.
