It was the fuel pump.
Some tips.
You can easily hear the pump in the trunk if it works.
95 940 do not run a priming cycle when the key is turned, all the other stuff that happens on engin rotation is required to power up the pump.
I had put in a spare radio relay, and my spare was poor, so I was getting 2 volts at the injection system, which wasent pulling in the pump relay.
The new pump ohms in at 1-2 ohms, the old one was 20k-30k and jumped if you shook it.
I feel like i've been doing yoga, too much time in the trunk.
Had to drive a drift into one clampt to pull it off.
Soaked the tank ring in hot water, then installed it, added clamp on outer band as well.
I did not completely remove the filler hose, it keeps getting in the way, but there is no way the inner clamp was coming off. You southern boys should thank the Lord everytime you pull a part of on the bottom of your vehicle.....
Thanks for the the advice
Oh, and tasca seems to have two portals to get prices from the web. Other guys always seem to get the lower prices, I was getting quotes for 240 on the site, I finally put in for tascaparts.com,
The string trick is a must, but slightly compress the assembly prior to insertion, after you get in in, and almost verticle, pull it together more, seat it then release string after you have the unit installed and the ring on.
It was cold here, 30 degrees, so I had to soak the ring on hotwater, otherwise it kept jumping threads and wearing my patience.
Wagons are much easier to do.........
The wire strain relief rusted out, replaced it with a piece of a ruler whittled down to fit, one of the clamp ears goes in front ot it to retain it. A bit rube golburg, but heh..
You will need a new pice of fuel hose, the old one is shorter, I crimped the wires to the new supplied leads and soldered the connection, I cant crimp like the factory did, there must be a special tool. The original wires are just long enough, might want to lenthen those too.
I'm glad it's done..
