Stalling Out 200 1986

OK so I haven't been driving my car much in the past year and something has happened. I have no problems starting up and driving. Shutting down and restarting is fine if done with in half an hour or more then 6 hours. The problem comes when starting after being shut down for about 3 hours. It will run for a little while and let me get out of the parking lot and then start to stutter and run rough. I haven't pulled the plugs yet but will tomorrow. Just looking for ideas on what to check out.
