240 Serious Rear Suspension Knocks 200 1989

So, after a brief 4 year hiatus from owning an '89 240, I have now purchased my second 240 - an extremely clean one with 50K miles. I don't know much about the history, but appears the prior owner replaced springs / shocks front and back in July. However, I'm getting a seriously bone-jarring bang whenever I come off as small as a 1" drop off in the rear, even at <5 mph. I'm wondering if perhaps he torqued it too tight or if the bushings, perhaps, need replacing? I've looked through the forum answers & checked to see if the exhaust was banging - no luck. Giving myself until Friday to figure it out then taking it to my local shop.

Any ideas on what else it may be? Trailing or torque bar? Thanks in advance.
