Steering woes - loose idler arm and nasty negative front wheel camber 140-160 1968

Last night I noticed I'm getting tremendously uneven wear on my front wheels. Laying down in front of the car shows that both front wheels have visible negative camber. I can rotate the tires accordingly, but is front wheel camber adjustable on these cars? I'd like to save my poor tires.

Then I started thinking about how an alignment shop will probably complain they can't properly complete their procedure because I've got an inch of play in my steering. Box is good, and all control arms are new, but I've never been able to get rid of the play in the idler arm bushing. All new bushings I've purchased in the past seem to be too small, such that there's still play when installed.

Is the idler arm shaft itself worn down? Are there any solutions to this? I can only find new bushings, not entire assemblies new.

Cheers,
Jason
