First of all I would like to thank all of the members who have assisted me in my "No start, Stumped" thread.
I am a person, unfortunately, who plans for the worst and hopes for the best and this is a classic example. I checked and rechecked and swapped out everything remotely possible with this no start situation thinking the worst has happened. I pulled my hair out and asked for help and received such wonderful advice.
Finally at my wits end, in my last ditch effort I decided to go the PNP and find a coil to exchange out the MSD coil on the car. While there I decided I would take the coil to dist wire (all dirty and greasy) with it.
Came home cleaned up the coil and coil wire and thought to myself, lets make sure the coil wire fits in the distributor. Plugged in the coil wire to the dist and said to myself, this MSD coil is only 6 months old, so lets hook in the wire and see what happens.
You have never seen a bigger smile as the one which landed on my face when I hit the start key....BINGO!!!! Bad Coil Wire.
I, again (my wife also) want to thank all of you who took the time to help me in this mess and wish everything on the board a Happy Holiday season and a terrific New Year.
Most sincerely,
Frank
