Just to settle a difference of opinion (re the L transmission in 240s), you're all invited to please join in .... 200

I've had a difference of opinion with a fellow Brickster on this forum. I'd like to invite others to offer their $0.02.

I had stated (in another thread) that although the 900 (and possibly also certain of the 700) cars had the "lock up" AW7_L transmission, the 240 series never got them (from the factory, that is).

This other person stated that he took a AW70L out of a '93 240 for which I knew the vehicle's entire history and knew for certain that it had never had its transmission changed -- the lockup transmission had to have been factory installed. To which I countered that maybe he didn't know the entire history of the car.

Who do you think is right?

Thanks all.

And to all a very Happy Holiday season.
