Hi, My stepson has a 1988 244DL in Baltimore that is a recent Florida transplant. It is very hard to start the first time on a cold morning (20 to 30 minutes). Over the phone, I'm in Florida, I hear the motor sputtering as long as the starter is turning. He says that after it warms up, it is fine the rest of the day. When preparing it for the Maryland inspections, I forgot to take in to account the cold weather. The hot air system needs installed, manifold tin, hose and probably air box thermostat. The cold start valve may be bad as well. Can anyone point me to someone in the Baltimore area that can get this problem solved? If not, I guess I'll be planning a trip to Baltimore. My stepson is not mechanically inclined. Thanks.
