Dead in the driveway 200

Out for dinner last night and the car was hard starting on the way home. Today it started right up in the morning, but was hard starting when I left gym. I was thinking fuel pressure, maybe the regulator, maybe the warm temps today were causing some condensation.
Because it was so beautiful here today, I decided to change the oil. While looking over the engine compartment, I noticed that the weatherproof fuse holder for the FI fuse was slightly discolored, but ignored it until I tried to start the engine, and it wouldn't start. I popped open the cover and found a totally toasty fuse welded into the holder. Upon closer inspection, the insulation on the wires was discolored, too. I replaced the holder and fuse, and the problem was gone. Lucky for me I was in the driveway when it finally failed. Keep an eye on those fuse holders, you never know when they are going to fail.
