Hi all, some more questions also about U Pull It stuff. I have located several Volvos in my local graveyard (volvos are not very prevelant down here in MS)... and all have the 1000530 aluminum head. It turns out that my previous head work was not done properly and the Engine shop it is at right now will NOT mill the head any farther. I am considering taking off two or three of the aluminum heads and trying to revive one of them that may not be warped as much as mine was apparantly.
1) How hard is it to detect 'fatal' flaws in a junk head (what should I look for)?
2) What is the best manner to clean a head that has been weathering?
3) HOW HARD IS IT TO REMOVE/REPLACE ALL VALVES, ETC IF I HAVE NEVER DONE VALVE WORK BEFORE????
4) I am assuming that ALL 1000530 Aluminum heads are interchangable?
I can buy them for $46.99 each WITH camshaft so I figure it may be worth it to try to pull three over the course of a few weeks. Going to start lubing the exhaust bolts this weekend a couple times a week to make it easier I hope. Any helpful tips?

Another issue: Think my ECT is bad on my car.... can smell what seems to be gas fumes in oil when I check it, so replacing ECT, FPR, and Oil Separator Box. Any other things I should check?
Have already cleaned the grounds under the hood and lightly coated them with dielectric grease. WHERE else should I look for ground points to clean?
