I notice that several 740 owners asked about problems with the release mechanism for folding down the rear seats on the wagon. And it doesn't look like they received any responses. I recently was using the release lever on the wider of the two back seats and I felt a snap and the release lever is now completely useless. The vehicle is a 1991 vintage. Is there a cable that can be repaired? If not, is there a fix that is less than ideal but still allows for the seat to lay forward.
