Still trying to track down this intermittent hesitation. Today it wouldn't start when I came out of the store. Stuck a paper clip between #4 and #6 fuses, and I *think* (not totally sure because of traffic noise) the fuel pump was just kinda quietly sputtering and buzzing erratically. Walked to another store, and when I came back, it started right up. It has done this a few times (as well as the extreme hesitation at times).
Drove home where it's quieter, jumped the fuses the same way, and the fuel pump was buzzing the way it's supposed to (I guess).
I keep reading that these pumps "rarely fail", or if they fail, they're completely gone, but could it be that this one works most of the time but sometimes doesn't?
Opening the gasoline line is just about my least favorite thing, so I was hoping it was something else...
