Remove rear axle bearing 900 1997

Hi,

since some months I have a problem with my car, basically when I drive for 15min. or more and then stop the car, I smell like burning rubber from the left rear wheel.
I took the car to the dealer, they didn't see anything strange apart hearing the noise of the bearings when turning the wheel.
As a result, their conclusion has been that there is a friction in the left rear axle bearings.

Three the P/Ns to be changed:

P/N 384728
P/N 384710
P/N 1232921

Since they came to this conclusion because there wasn't anything else they noticed and since it is something that it is pretty expensive to repair, I am looking for certainties.

Also, is this a work I can do myself or are there special tools needed?

I had a quick look at my VIDA and they mention the need of a a press tool to remove the drive shaft bearing, as an example.

Thank you for you advice.

Alex
