Hi all.
'92 740 Wagon, 197K miles. B230F, Regina. I have owned it for the last 90K miles, and it has occasionally run rough on cold start and sometimes stalled. Did the same thing around a month ago, but never started back up. It would crank, and I could smell that fuel was getting to the plugs, but no spark.
Replaced the crank position sensor (which had several spots worn through to the wires), and the coil pack, and it started up.
Now it runs like it is on three cylinders and stalls at low idle. Pulled the codes, which said loss of signal to the IAC Valve. Valve is $350 from the dealer, so I pulled one from a junkyard. No change in performance. Pulled the plugs, and they look good (though they smelled of gas).
Any ideas as to what can fix this? Thinking about the cold start valve, but not looking forward to another day trip to the junkyards.
Any suggestions would be most appreciated
Thanks,
Andy2
