The window channel trim of a few of the windows on my 240's is curling inward and being pinched by the windows as they close. Once this happens, the trim takes a set, so straightening it out has no lasting effect.
I do not like to resolve a problem with glue, especially when an adhesive was not used in the first place, but I have little choice.
Some sticky candidates are:
1 - Toughened, industrial-grade, Crazy/wacky instant glue made specifically for rubber. While I've used this stuff before, it is hard to justify the cost of a 50mL bottle which will eventually end up ruined after only a full drops have be used.
2 - Gorilla snot (3M rubber trim adhesive)
3 - Auto Goop
4 - Seals All
5 - Butyl windshield ribbon (this might tend to allow the trim to creep)
Has anyone found a neat, invisible and lasting repair for this problem?
Thanks, one and all,
Rich
