is "No-OX' good for connectors? 200 1993

I have been trying to solve an engine temp sensor issue, replaced the sensor (did not use sealing tape) tested good on the bench, bad in the car as tested from the ECU. The connector plug appears to be trauma free, but some green corrosion can be seen. Should I try to work some electician's "no-ox" paste into the connector? If not, any other suggestions?
thanks in advance
