EGR vacuum hose location for 1989 240 200 1989

Failed California smog...check engine light on. Was told that the EGR vacuum hose is disconected/defective. Does anyone know where this vacuum hose starts and where it stops? I only see a 3 wire cable at the EGR. I was also told that I have excessive emissions....go fish.
