I've been adrift in the wasteland for close to a month, now. After 3187 miles in twenty-four days driving a '93, 150 Kmi. wagon, I'm proving to be true what I've always said about 240's: if it starts and stops, you can drive it coast to coast.
Not that this saga has been without incident - regardless of how well you prepare a 19-year-old car for a journey, you will most likely dismiss something as improbable which will come back to bite you in the ass, but, all in all, I can't complain. While on the road, I've renewed both front window winder motors and I narrowly missed a disaster when a charging system voltage regulator queefed out with the wrong replacement part stuck away in the glove box.
Now for the point behind this post:
Before I left home, I replaced a leaking power brake booster. Thus morning, I spied a free-hanging pink conductor with a covered female terminal coming out of the portion of the harness which hugs the front of the brake vacuum booster. This terminal resides almost directly below the OBD module.
Does anyone know if this terminal was spared intentionally as opposed to being inadvertently opened by me when I did the vacuum booster swap.
During a quick check, I could not find a matching connector, but the way stuff is jammed into that corner of the engine bay, that's not saying I didn't miss something.
Thanks, one and all,
Rich
