6V - 12v converter. Need more speaker power! 444-544

In keeping with the 6v system on my newly acquired 444, what is a good 12v converter for a stereo system. Previous owner has some noisy/whining converter that is really poor for any volume for the speaker. Plus he had a electronic ignition system wired into the 12v converter to power the ignition, which caught fire and destroy the under the hood electrical wiring and surrounding rubber seals. I'm rebuilding the distributor and vacuum diaphragm. Made a tool to remove the vacuum diaphragm housing on distributor and replace the diaphragm with two pieces of rubber roofing and nylon screen laminated between. Works Great. Used this same lamination for the fuel pump diaphragm. Car was burning out the 6v electric fuel pumps every two years due to no return line and over pressure. Someone had posted about a converter with two power settings. One for instrument and the other setting for radio and larger consumers.
