Thanks to the past efforts of Brickboard participants I was able to replace the brushes in my bosch alternator this weekend. '91 245 stalled dead in it's tracks and we had it towed home. Jump started it and it would run only momemtarialy. replaced 9.65vdc dead battery with a fresh one and ran fine but only read 12vdc at idle. Found the brushes I bought a while back and following the clear instructions on the FAQ file .... success.
