Gettig the pump unit back in the tank 900 1995

I am in the process changing a fuel pump on my 1995 960. I was able to get the unit out with no problem. installing the new pump on the sending unit was also easy. I can't get the unit to go back in the tank. Is there some trick to getting it back in? Does someone have a video that might help? I have read the FAQ on the subject but it doesn't work for me. The sender or screen always gets hung up on the slosh wall in the tank. Help!!!
