How do you remove the dash speakers? (1992 745)

I looked at the FAQ, but it's for the 960 or 940 and mine has different style "screws" (round head with a notch on each side) and they don't seem to unscrew when I turn them. My left front speaker started cutting out and now seldom works, so that was the first place I want to look.
