1990 vs 1992 Windshield trim 700

Can anyone confirm for me, '92 740's don't have the silly black trim around the windshield, rear window and back side window-ettes?

My '90's is cracked, torn and either needs replacements sourced or updated. I remember reading somewhere the later models didn't have this trim and that is was compatible with the early models.

Appreciate responses from anyone who has made this transition.
