Weird sound coming through front vents 700

Weird as hell! Sounds like dry leaves being crushed / water hitting a fan blade , like water being splashed vigorously with fingers. It started last week , very faint , but now its getting louder whereby I was able to pinpoint its location under the dash ,sorta behind the front center vents. It is louder when moving off and can be simulated by accelerating , though not as loud then. When stopped , I can rev the car and hear it. The sound does not exist at idle. There are no internal leaks of any fluid that I can see nor any under the hood for that matter. Engine cooling is fine. Does not matter if the A/C is on or not or whether the blower fan is on..I really don't know where to start on this one..can someone chime in...regards
