1986 intermittent charging issues 200 1986

While the engine is running occasionally the battery light, parking brake light and brake failure light will lite up very fait. If I rev the engine the light go out. When the lights are on the battery volts read a steady 12.28 when the light are out the volts show 14.3.
Belt tension is correct and the balancer appears to be fine .
Any help would be greatly recieved hopefully saving me the cost of a new alternator.
