Hey everybody. I'm hurriedly riding this before driving to work in my 740t with a loose gland nut (sounds awful).
Two times in the last few days this happened. Keep in mind my car idles funny the first few seconds of running no matter what I have done to try to change it.
Normal operation:
Crank(3-5 times), fires, starts, have to give it a little gas to get it to idle.
Occasionally, I would give it gas and let off abruptly and it would die. This is what happened both times.
Start like normal, accidentally kill it.
crank-fire-crank-crank-crank-crank-crank-crank....
So it fires on the second crank but won't actually start. It's just a single cough.
I had a problem with a fuel pump connector, but I think it's fixed. It's been secure when I've checked it.
The first time, I checked the fuel pump wires (fine) and tried a limp-home start with no better results.
Gotta run,
Cheers
