new windhield 200

Got a new windhield installed today. Last one lasted 7 years. The pitting was getting bad, especially when driving facing the sun. Also had a couple "freeway rock chips" in it. Last time, 7 years ago, I went to some shop cost me a little over $300. This time I shopped around and found one for $145 +tax, installed.. "Glass Pro"--? Anyway they've been in business a long time, so I gave it a shot and they let me watch the installation. I did check reviews on them and they actually had a lot of very good reviews, so that also partly influenced my decision to go with them.

I dont know much about installing a car window but it looked like they did it right and were careful. The glass itself has to meet certain standards, and I asked why their prices was so much lower? They said they are a LARGE business, all over the USA and buy 1000s of pieces of glass and get good prices as compared to a small indepndent. . Anyway I hope this one lasts 7 years also-or more.

Nice to have clean and clear glass!!
