Hi,
I looked over my wife's 92 245 yesterday and it seems to have a bit of hard coolant deposits down the side of the radiator at the top radiator hose. After a short drive I noticed a fresh drop of coolant in the same area. Small leak now but I am not gambling on how long it will stay that way.
So I figure I better jump on this pretty soon-purchase a new radiator.
I don't have any experience with radiators-buying or installing. The OEM (Blackstone?) one in my 90 240 with 250,660 miles has been in there ever since I bought it in 2000 when it had approx. 170,000 miles. So I was surprised that the 92 245 with 190,000 miles needed one already.
So I my question is does anyone have any lifetime comparisons between the Nissens radiator and the OEM radiator? It's about a $55 difference in price between the two.
My other question is if I order a Nissens radiator (from FCP) does it come with the plug for the temp. switch?
Thanks,
Travis
