Rear Cam Plug Orientation 200

The rear cam plug on my 1987 245 blew out today. I have been lax on keeping the flame trap clean and the engine has +250K on it so it's not much of a surprise. I have read a lot of posts on how to replace it, but since my plug is laying on the highway somewhere I am not sure which way the plug is installed....flat side in or cupped side in? Anxiously awaiting your response.
