Is it possible for me to finish the heater valve replacement 200

I may have gotten in over my head here. I am pretty decent at wrenching - I've replced the water pump but I can't figure this one out.

I am trying to replace the heater valve in my 1992 245. I drained the coolant and then disconnected the hose from the heater valve to the firewall. But there is a hose coming into the valve from the back side and I cannot get at it.
Also, there is a cable that is inaccessible.

First, how do I access the hose behing the valve to disconnect? I assume I have to take some pieces off in the dash.

And what do I have to remove to unhook the cable?

The bracket currently on the car is the same as the new one I bought(ScanTech?). Can I leave the bracket on or do I need to replace it with the new one? How does the bracket come off??

And how do I disconnect the cable and put a new one on? At this point I am ready to throw in the towel and let a shop do it. If I am going to have to spend several more hours on it it isn't worth it (90 degrees and humid here).
I thought the link below would answer all my questions but it seems there is missing info.

Thanks in advance!
