Blower Motor Squeal (Maybe?) 900 1994

When I turn on the fan, the squeal is most annoying at fan levels 1 and 2.

At setting 3 there is no squeal.

The strange thing is that the squeal does not change frequency with fan speed. Is that to be expected?
Is it possibly something else (before I tear into my dash/glove box)?
