I'm looking for the best volvo 240 nerd in Philadelphia.
Sometime around January I took my beloved 1990 volvo 240dl wagon w/224k(170k engine) into Bravarian Motors for a new Bulb failure relay. They replaced it and it's dead again...used BFR? Now my confidence in their ability to keep a 240 running WELL-as, apposed to RUNNING, is failing...
I recently had them replace the dead 223k motor with a 170K (according to Bravarian) motor. I'm getting the knock engine sensor code and need to address that.
I also need to find a speedometer cluster. I tried to fix mine via the dave barton plastic gear fix but I broke my needle off entirely. Thereby, destroying the speedometer and odometer.
I'd like to find someone who can point out what else needs to be done to keep this car on the road forever. I think it needs trailing arm bushings as it handles bumps pretty rough,I don't want to destroy the suspension...I'd really like to bring this machine back to it's glory and figure out what I'm looking at $$$.
So I'd like to find a small shop that works mostly with older volvos and knows exactly what they're doing.
