Trim clips 200 1984

Hi folks,

After a long time away, I just had the opportunity to buy back my old 1984 240 that I had put a lot of work on from the person I sold it to years ago. It is in much rougher shape though.

In particular, I need to fix up and reattach the trim here and there. There are some really thin trim pieces along the body of the car under the windows, that are attached by tiny white clips. I've been searching online and found some that would match on Amazon for $3 and some cents. I have no idea if they are selling 20 for that price or just one. I'm not risking it as I have no intention to spend that much on one single tiny plastic clip.

I'm wondering if someone has found a good way of reattaching that type of trim (it's hollow) without clips, perhaps with some tape, putty, silicone etc...

Same question goes also for the "eyebrow" piece at the front corner right above the bumper. The clips are ripped out. Those seem easier to find except they are also several dollars a piece, and do not seem to come with the metal pieces that attach to the plastic part. Thinking about reattaching that the "ghetto" way rather than deal with plastic pieces that are prone to breaking (it's Arizona, and plastics don't like the heat too much). It just needs to look good and hold on.

Also, any tips for reattaching bumpers that are kinda drooping on the sides when the plastic parts that the bolts attach to are broken off? Maybe some epoxy-ing some nuts?

Thanks for any tips.

David
