Antennas and Windows 900 1994

What the heck? They riveted the window control arms to the doors?

Sooooo, has anyone just drilled those out and then used bolts with locking nuts to replace? Is that an acceptable procedure or do I need to figure out how to rivet again?

My driver's side window goes down smoothly until about 70% at which point the door bulges out (inside - towards my leg) until about 90% then the bulge is over. Same going up. I have not taken the panel off to investigate, but I practiced on the 940 at the junk yard and went ahead and drilled out the motor and mechanism.

Just looking for any tips or hints related to this.

On the antenna front, mine does nothing at all. I metered the connection and had 12V between black and one of the greens. Changing the antenna button had no effect on which wire carried the 12V (maybe it shouldn't, I just thought it would).

I alligator jumped the 12V from the live side to the connector on the antenna and occasionally got what sounded like a VERY short attempt to move something. Does anyone know of a good description of antenna diagnostics?

Thanks
