AMM or ECU reset on HOT DAYS (lol) No Really.. what the h@#$ is it doing??? 200 1991

Hi all...
240 91 sedan, 230k,
I've noticed that alot of the posts recently seem to have to do with the heat wave in recent weeks, go figure!
Anyway about a month a go my gf's sedan seemed to sputter and run out of power, almost like bogging down, all the way till it died.. At the time I was able to re-start and nurse it, too much throttle would kill it, to a parking lot where I ended up unplugging the amm and limping it to my uncles. Well long story short, put in a newer :) AMM and everything seemed to be fine, I just did that because we had a pulled one lying around.
However it has done it again, this time when it was really hot the other day. I tried unplugging the AMM, but I also un-hooked the negative battery cable, and waited 2 minutes. This "re-setting" of the ECU seems to have worked for like the next 20 minutes in the heat, did it again, etc... Ended up having to re-set the ECU if you will 4 times the other day.
To note, I also noticed some accumulation of liquid, gas, etc.. in the hose leading down through the throttle body, (maybe I shouldn't have cleaned it so well last tune-up) lol and wanted to mention that I don't think it is the AMM because both times I'm pretty sure it was the disconnecting of the battery that helped... Any ideas, also sorry for the long post:)
-cp
