A/C compressor question 900

Hello
I have this '94 Regina 940 that has one A/C line open (cracked at the compressor line bracket) for over a year. My question is: does the moisture contaminated the oil to the point that internal compressor seals are shots now or is it OK just to drain the oil, fill up with fresh and charge the system (after replacing the open line of course)?
Thanks in advance.
