So in conducting my monthly preventative maintenance checks and services (PMCS) it looks like "Grey Lady" finally needs new bushings, shocks, and struts. I almost hate to admit it, but in the almost 20 years I've owned her, I've never even had the tie rod ends replaced.
She's developed a bit of a dive when braking and cornering as well as the tell-tell shimmy while approaching a stop sign. She still tracks straight and doesn't pull when applying the brakes.

The question is this:

The big two - IPD and FCP, sell the poly kits as well as Koni struts and shocks, but they also sell beefed up anti-sway bars and springs designed to lower the car while maintaining comfort.

Grey Lady has factory original front and rear sway bars.

Is there a real improvement in lowering a 740? Do the larger sway bars really make that much of a difference over the stock ones?

I'm running Perrelli P6's at all four corners in a size 215/60 R15 and absolutely love them.

Sure I could just replace a couple parts here and there, but I prefer to only take things apart once and would rather do a complete job now then to drag it out and turn into multiple projects over a longer period of time.

Appreciate insight from anyone who's 'been there done that'.
