fast idle, continued 200 1989

This is a bit early cuz I havn't checked it out yet, BUT I got this from a friend that's a volvo mechanic. Im going to try it tomorrow and I'll post back how it did. This is about the "high idle" that i just cant seem to get under control even with the great suggestions on my earlier post.

OK, I use the A/C a lot, like most everytime I get in the car, cuz I just like it; the moving cool air feels great, to me---- anyway-------I was told that when I turn on the a/c switch, a signal goes to (somewhere) and tells the motor to rev up a bit cuz the compressor will be on causing a little more drag.

OK, so, my friend thinks that signal thing is "bad", sending a signal to speed up way too far. I have NOT checked this out yet but with the way I use the a/c it makes sense and I use it a LOT! (I havn't noticed that if I turn off the a/c if it goes back to a normal idle cuz for one thing when i turn off the a/c it's usully cuz Im turning off the motor.)

BTW about a year ago i had a new compressor and other new a/c related things installed and a conversion to 134; works great as far as doing what it's supposed to do.

Anyway i will get back to this post soon as I test out this theory. Thanx.
