Rear Wheel squeel 900 1992

I replaced the rear pads only and used the proper lube on the backing. About two weeks later I'm hearing a high pitched squeal as I'm going down the road. It doesn't start immediately. It takes about 2-3 miles. I had a brake squeal noise that I fixed somewhat by chamfering the edge. It has gone away mostly. I can hear a 1 sec whistle when I apply the brakes and then ALL the noise goes away as I am braking. Any suggestions would be helpful.
